You thought I went nuts over the vacuum?

That was nothing people!! NOTHING!!

Today, UPS delivered another box (actually 3 boxes) of delightful goodness. A new Dell Dimension E520 desktop computer. Oh dear lord it is beautiful.

Now, before you go on thinking that we won the lottery or something with all the new things we have been buying, please allow me to clarify. First, tax refunds, tax refunds, tax refunds!! Second, Lowe's credit card. And third, Dell financing! Plus, this computer was a steal as well as the monitor and shipping being completely free.

The vacuum is still held in very high regard. It's wonderful, powerful, easy to use and makes me very happy. Seriously, I smile and giggle every time I go to use it. My house has been vacuumed more in the last week than in the last 2 months. Dirt and dog hair do not stand a chance in hell anymore!

With that said, the vacuum has been trumped... by another machine. A machine called the Dell Desktop of Happiness. This machine shall further be known as the DDoH. It arrived this afternoon and within 30 minutes I had it hooked up and was surfing the web. Up until today we had been using our faithful 3 year old Dell Inspirion widescreen laptop. It is wireless and goes anywhere in this house. It is it's own work of art.

Hubs and I decided it has served us well but the boy needs a break. So we ordered this new desktop to do all of our major work and now hubs can reclaim the laptop and use it whenever he wishes. So, my new toy is this DDoH. The monitor is a 17" digital flat panel and it makes me swoon. See below....

This, this is what makes DraMa smile.... beautiful new gadgets....

... and a new blog template, of course. And damn does it look good on the new monitor! This picture doesn't do the monitor justice. You'll just have to trust me. It's a work of art. The CPU is standard and even though it IS the computer it doesn't need to be pictured. We all know that looks are what really matter and the monitor is what people take notice of. It's like a gorgeous woman with a good heart.... men don't give a shit whether or not she volunteers at homeless shelters and donates money to charity. They just want to screw her cuz she's hot.

So, I don't care that my hard drive is 160gig and that it has 8 USB ports (including two in the FRONT of the unit). What matters to me is the hot 17" digital goodness that is like my eye candy. Ok, wait, the whole 8 USB port thing is awesome and the fact that two are in the FRONT... well, that is like winning the lottery and then getting a free car, too. Life has just been simplified by two simple little USB ports. Who knew?

And do not EVEN get me started on this little 64MB USB data whatever doohicky...

that I can save information to and transfer from my laptop to my new computer... seriously. Don't get me started because I'm just liable to orgasm right here and now. I know 64MB isn't much but it came with our laptop 3 years ago and I just found it and used it to transfer all my FireFox bookmarks over to the new computer... it took 30 seconds... SHIT! STOP ME!

Alright, it's time to go take care of these little people that are running around my house. They might need me today. If you need me, I'll be playing on my DDoH for the next 6 weeks... easy to find me.

That monitor is BEAUTIFUL. I've already expressed my admiration for your new template, but that is beautiful, too, just to reaffirm. But the monitor? *swoon*

I work on a computer that has been rebuilt since (I kid you not) 1996. So, yeah. Hi! You're a princess, in my book. ;)

  • Fan-tab-u-liocious! I'm so excited for me *note the little chick dancing the gig here* hee hee.

I remember the euphoria of my Dell XPS M1210 delivery. Ohhh the joy and delight. We plan to get a new desk top to relieve the 5 year old dinosaur of the Gateway in the office soon. And I think I can write it off as a freelance designer business expense on my taxes next year so double jig dancing here.

Happy Dell using! Vacuum, Ipod, phone, and computer in a short time! My goodness! You probably are so excited you just can't breath! LOL

  • Stupid me... I meant I'm so happy for you. Never type while talking to your 5 year old. Ugh!

  • I thought I was the only one who got excited about new vacuums. I treated myself to one for my birthday and it's fabulous!
Anyway, it's nice to meet a kindred cleaning spirit.

  • I am very jealous. The PC at my house runs like a fat man combat boots.

  • A new computer does rawk! I actually had a Dell before I, umm... did some tweaking on it. Needless to say, 5 seconds of stupidity later the Dell was in the dumpster.
I ended up building one from scratch about a year ago. A Fry's account is a good thing to have, it only cost me about 700. All kinds of neon and lights and the specs make me tingly all over.
